On March 10, the lawyers of Poti Bureau of the Legal Aid Service have conducted a meeting with the juvenile beneficiaries of NGO “Belief Foundation”.
The public lawyers talked to the youngsters about the issues of protection of victims of domestic violence, as well as introduced to the Juvenile Justice Code adopted in 2016, which establishes special standards for the treatment of the children involved in justice.
In the course of the meeting, the public lawyers focused on the issues such as protection of the juvenile against substance abuse (tobacco, drugs, etc), issues of criminal liability, drug crime, conditions of marriage, etc. The youngsters were actively involved in the discussions.
The goal of “Belief Foundation” is the adaptation and social integration of the PWDs; organization of cultural and educational events, promotion of professional training and other types of educational activities, improvement of social services, popularization of healthy lifestyle.
