With the support of the EU and UNICEF, trainings on juvenile justice issues for public lawyers are scheduled in Borjomi on 17-20 November, 2018. The training is based on the special concept and aims at specialization of lawyers.
It is worth to note that specialization of the public lawyers in juvenile justice issues is one of the priorities of Legal Aid Service. The trainings are held annually and other activities are carried out as well.
The legal part of the training was presented by the LAS deputy director Irakli Shonia and the psychological part was discussed by the experts Ketevan Tavartkiladze, Nana Maisashvili and Nino Darsadze.
The participants do the group exercises of interviewing/interrogation. The training will be followed up by writing the test. If a lawyer passes it with success, s/he will be granted specialization on working on juvenile cases.
