On March 25-26, in Kakheti, at the hotel Lopota, 2-day training was held for the LAS employees, dedicated to the issues of human resources management and elaboration of job descriptions. The training was held with support of UNDP and EU.
During the first day, the participants got introduced with main directions of HR management: selection of employee, interview with a candidate, motivation and evaluation of employees. During the second day, a practical training was held on job description issues.
The training on HR management issues became necessary after Legal Aid Service started to elaborate job descriptions for positions envisaged by the staff list and to introduce eHRMS which are demands of the reform made in the field of public service.
The elaboration of job descriptions is a complex process which requires involvement of persons who occupy specific positions, as well as their supervisors and HR specialists. The aim of the training was to give appropriate theoretical knowledge and skills to the people who participate in elaboration of job descriptions. It is worth to mention that the similar training is planned on April 1-2 for the employees who work in western Georgia.
UNDP and EU actively support the reform of the LAS organizational structure and improvement of management system.
