A moot court was held at Kedi Magistrate's Court on June 13 of this year, planned by the Legal Aid Service and the USAID Rule of Law Program. It should be noted that the parties at the trial were represented by student paralegals, while the jurors were school students.
Students received extensive information about the Jury Institute. The case materials for the mock trial were also put together in a way that allowed the jurors to discuss the most crucial problems pertaining to children's rights and then get familiar with accurate legal evaluations.
Schoolchildren showed a lot of interest in the subject being discussed. The moot court was carried out as part of the project - "Make the law accessible to everyone".
We are grateful to USAID Rule of Law Program I for their significant support.
