The lawyers of Legal Aid Service and the "Rights Georgia" held a working meeting on July 12, in Tbilisi Legal Aid Bureau. The meeting was between public attorneys and the lawyers of the "Rights Georgia" organization.
Lawyers discussed the issues of free legal aid for asylum seekers and persons under international protection.
Within the framework of the meeting, "Rights Georgia" researcher, Lado Nafetvaridze, spoke about the characteristics of research on the country of origin, including research principles, standards, methods and limitations.
In addition, there was a discussion on the facts of human rights violations in different countries and the reports reflecting them.
Public attorneys shared their experience with their colleagues. The working meeting was held within the framework of the project - "Protection and Empowerment of Refugees, Asylum Seekers, Persons with humanitarian status and Stateless Persons in Georgia" – has been implemented by the "Rights Georgia" since 2019, with the funding of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
