On June 14, Gori Legal Aid Service Bureau consultant Nino Masurashvili and Khashuri Consultation Centre consultant Manana Gelashvili met with the population of the village of Chorchana. The village is located near the conflict zone borderline and, it is one of the state priorities to take care of its residents, especially the women affected by the conflict.
The meeting was organized by the Office of the State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality and it was attended by the representatives of the Human Rights Protection and Investigation Quality Monitoring Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Care and Trafficking, the Victim Assistance Agency and the Gender Council of Local Self-Government.
At the meeting, there were discussed in detail the criteria for receiving free legal aid, violence against women and domestic violence, and the Code of the Rights of the Child. All the questions asked by the population were answered comprehensively by the lawyers.
