On May 19, Director of the Legal Aid Service (LAS) Razhden Kuprashvili held a meeting with the representatives of Abasha City Hall, City Assembly, social services, and villages as part of the information campaign "Make the Law Accessible to All".
During the special presentation, the public was informed about the LAS services for women, domestic violence issues, the Code of the Rights of the Child, and the rights of persons with disabilities.
There was emphasized the quality of the work done by the public attorneys and the projects in which the LAS attorneys provide highly qualified assistance to the beneficiaries.
The second part of the event was dedicated to the presentation of a new project by the Service -"Paralegals". Samegrelo is the first region where the "Registry of Paralegals" is being formed.
The project "Paralegal" will unite those representatives of the society who are not lawyers by profession but will receive special training in legal issues, organized by the Legal Aid Service, and will have the opportunity to provide first aid to relatives, neighbors, friends - all interested people who will apply to them.
The meetings in Samegrelo are carried out within the framework of the LAS legal awareness-raising information campaign - the movement "Make the Law Accessible to All". The campaign is supported by the Council of Europe (COE).
