On March 21, head of the LAS Samegrelo-Zugdidi Bureau – Roman Keidia, and the bureau lawyer -Natia Kvartskhava met with the employees of the Social Service Agency branch of Zugdidi municipality.
It is worth to mention that the majority of the beneficiaries of the Agency and of the Service are insolvent. That’s why these two organizations often redirect their clients. The aim of the meeting was to inform the Agency employees about the criteria of activity and services of Legal Aid Service.
The public lawyers talked about the recent legislative amendments regulating violence against women and domestic violence, property and labor disputes. They also discussed issues of appointment of pension, recognition as a beneficiary of support, etc.
Such type of meetings has significant meaning in direction of access to justice, raising public awareness on human rights, effective cooperation between the state agencies.
