The LAS Kutaisi bureau launched new series of seminars which will cover 4 public schools of Khoni and will last until the middle of June.
On March 5, the first seminar was held in Khoni public school N3. The event attracted high interest and gathered up to 70 pupils of high classes. The seminar was about legal culture, human rights and rights of a child. It was conducted in an interactive manner.
According to the plan, the legal seminars will be also held at Khoni public schools N3 and N4, as well as at public schools of Kukhi and Nakhakhulevi villages.
Four activities will be carried out in each school. The course implies following themes:
- What does legal culture mean? Fundamental human rights and freedoms, rights of a minor;
- Law-enforcement bodies, court, court of jury, role of an attorney;
- Fields of law, criminal law. What is a crime?
- Tolerance vs. discrimination, principles of legal state.
The school seminars are carried out in the framework of the memorandum signed with the Ministry of Education and Science.
