After Mejvriskhevi Village, Gori District and Shorapani Village, Zestaphoni District, free legal consultation will be available in Geguti Village, Tskhaltubo District. The service will be accessible at the local public center where the LAS consultant will render consultations to the local population one day in a week.
At the starting stage, the consultant will work in Geguti public center on every Thursday of the week. Moreover, the citizens can apply to the LAS Kutaisi bureau where they will receive advocacy service together with legal consultation.
Currently, public centers operate in 17 villages of Georgia and their work is ensured by Public Service Development Agency. The implementation of free legal consultation in Mejvriskhevi, Shorapani and Geguti public centers is envisaged by the memorandum of cooperation concluded between Legal Aid Service and Public Service Development Agency.
Expansion of the legal aid network and cooperation with public centers are actively supported by UNDP Georgia.
