With the efforts of Zviad Kobalava, the attorney of the LAS Zugdidi Legal Aid Bureau, the Zugdidi District Court found the beneficiary, D. A. not guilty, of the charges brought against him under Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, Part Three, Sub-Clause "B" (which carries a six-to nine-year prison sentence).
The substantive consideration of the case in the court continued for more than a year. Zviad Kobalava assured the court that the case was not related to fraud, but to a civil dispute. Due to objective conditions, D.A. failed to fulfill its obligations, with no fraudulent intent. As a result, the judge fully supported the position of the defense and D.A. was ruled not guilty and completely exonerated of all allegations.
