On August 11, the presentation of the LAS online project -”Conversations on the Rights of the Child”, was held in the historical complex of “Oqros Chardakhi”(former residence of Kings of Imereti) in Kutaisi, which was attended by Ghassan Khalili, UNICEF Representative in Georgia. Razhden Kuprashvili, the Director of the Legal Aid Service, introduced the free legal aid system to the public and talked about the role and importance of public lawyers in the protection of minors. He stressed that the aim of the projects implemented by the Legal Aid Service is to raise public legal awareness, including minors. Memorandums were signed with Academician Ivane Javakhishvili's home school "Imedi", the school "Ghone qveknisa" and the training center “Mermisi". According to the memorandum, the students of these schools will be involved in the implementation of an online project of the Legal Aid Service. Ghasan Khalil, a UNICEF representative, also addressed the students. The students from Kutaisi asked interesting questions during the discussion. A memorandum was signed between the Legal Aid Service and the non-governmental organization “Information Development Hub”, under which board games will be developed for juveniles to exercise their rights. During the meeting, held in the "Oqros Chardakhi”, it was noted that the service will continue to discuss issues related to children's rights.
