On April 27, the LAS Poti Bureau lawyers met with IDPs who live in new district of Poti.
The public lawyers informed IDPs about criteria necessary for receiving free legal aid and talked about various legal issues with them. The population was mainly interested in the following matters: social rights of IDPs, provision IDPs with accommodation, registration in the unified database of the socially vulnerable families, divorce, appointing alimony in favor of the minor children, determination of a status of single mother, as well as law enforcement issues.
The LAS bureaus periodically carry out such activities which serve to raise legal awareness of IDPs.
