On March 16, the LAS Kvemo Kartli Bureau lawyers visited N5 public school of Marneuli and Tamarisi village public schools in Bolnisi district where they held seminars on domestic violence issues for the pupils of higher classes. The lawyer of the LAS local consultation center of the district also took part in the seminar organized in Marneuli.
In the framework of the seminar the public lawyers talked about rights of victims of domestic violence, as well as legal responsibility established for perpetrators. The focus was made on free advocacy service of Legal Aid Service which is available for victims of domestic violence (in case they meet the insolvency criteria).
The LAS legal aid bureaus periodically carry out seminars at schools with the aim to raise legal awareness among the youth.
