The administrative proceedings (based on articles 166 and 173 of Code of Administrative Offences) against the minor T.S. were started in the MIA Shida Kartli Police Department.
According to the report of administrative proceedings, T.S. was under alcoholic intoxication, insulted others and used bad language at the public place. The policeman demanded him to stop but he did not obey and insulted the policemen too.
On the basis of the application of the policemen, Maia Grigolishvili, the LAS Shida Kartli Bureau lawyer was appointed to defend the minor. After she got introduced with the case materials, she found out that the administrative case toward T.S. was processed by the person who did not have specialization in juvenile justice. Moreover, this person drafted the minutes of administrative arrest and administrative offense.
At the trial, the lawyer Maia Grigolishvili made focus on the above-mentioned circumstance and filed a motion demanding cease of the proceedings.
Gori District Court shared the position of the LAS lawyer and stopped administrative proceedings against the minor.
