On May 22, the head of the Human Resources Division of the Legal Aid Service (LAS), Guliko Zurebiani, and a specialist, Revaz Arsenidze, participated in the employment forum organized by the Georgian National University (SEU).
At the panel of employers, a number of organizations from the budgetary and private sectors were represented. The LAS officials discussed the "Paralegals" initiative, which entails teaching legal concepts to non-lawyers so that they will be able afterwards to offer initial legal consultation.
The project aroused great interest of the forum guests. Numerous students signed up to attend paralegal trainings. The interested persons were introduced to the specifics, conditions and requirements of the Legal Aid Service, which should be met by a public attorney, consultant or an applicant to any other position.
Future lawyers demonstrated a keen interest in employment after receiving the relevant consultation in this regard.
