On September 22, The Legal Aid Service head office had special guests: Lena Owens, Legal Advisor to the United States Department of State, and Sarah Rupert, Representative of the Office of Drugs and Law Enforcement and International Affairs.
Razden Kuprashvili, director of the Legal Aid Service, briefed the guests on the ongoing reforms in the Service, which aim at improving the quality and availability of free legal aid. He also presented projects which are being implemented within the framework of the "Make the Law Accessible to All" movement, including raising awareness among the population about the jury trial.
The guests positively assessed the ongoing reforms and pledged their support to the Service in further improvement of its functioning and agreed on future intensive cooperation.
