On October 8-9, a distance training was held on land registration issues. The training was led by Irina Kvachantiradze, the Lawyer of the Legal Support Service of the Legal Department of the National Agency of Public Registry.
The training discussed the legislative amendments to the Law of Georgia on Systematic and Sporadic Registration of Land Rights and Improvement of Cadastral Data, which came into force in 2020; Issues of recognition and registration of ownership of land plots owned (used) by individuals and legal entities under private law; Overlap of cadastral data and the case law; The rule of registration of ownership of a land plot in the rightful possession (use) of a household member (members); The rule of common ownership of real estate and its disposal; General issues related to the registration of the right in the public register.
The training was attended by consultants from the regional bureaus and counseling centers of the Legal Aid Service. The training was conducted with the active involvement of the participants.
