On February 8, 2018, the LAS Mtskheta-Mtianeti Legal Aid Bureau employees met with the IDPs residing in Tserovani collective settlement and the employees of Akhalgori administrative unit. The main topic of the meeting was violence against minors, women and domestic violence.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive manner. Besides the mentioned topics, the IDPs were interested in other legal issues. The head of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Legal Aid Bureau – Aluda Buchukuri and the consultant Irina Barbakadze introduced the attendees with each provided service that Legal Aid Service renders for free to the citizens of Georgia – to IDPs and representatives of vulnerable groups.
Such information meetings with the population of different regions will be continued in 2018-2020 too by the LAS employees together with the representatives of those agencies which are involved in the activities envisaged under the action plan “Violence against Women and Domestic Violence”.
