With the aim to provide better services for free legal aid beneficiaries as well as for lawyers, today, the head office of Legal Aid Service of Georgia was opened and a new webpage was presented.
The chairman of the Parliament of Georgia – Irakli Kobakhidze, the EU ambassador in Georgia – Janos Herman and head of the UNDP office in Georgia – Niels Scott attended the ceremony. Other members of the Parliament and the executive body, representatives of international organizations, civil society and media also participated in the event.
The cycle of renewal of the Service infrastructure, which covered 12 legal aid bureau and 7 consultation center through Georgia, was completed by opening the head office and new webpage. The large part of this was carried out by the EU and the UNDP, as part of the larger EU program EU4Justice (Support to Justice Sector in Georgia).
