Seminars are held at public schools of Georgia by lawyers of Legal Aid Service.
On March 23-27, seminars were held at 14 public schools. These are: schools of Kamiskhuri and Kheta villages, Khobi district, schools of Inchkhuri and Gachedili villages, Martvili district, schools N2 and N3 of Gori, schools N3 and N5 of Akhaltsikhe, school N3 of Batumi, school in Tsikhisdziri village, Mtskheta district, school N1 of Rustavi, school N3 in Khoni, school N1 in Telavi, private school “Korali” in Tbilisi.
In the framework of seminars, the public lawyers introduce pupils of higher classes with such issues as legal culture, fundamental human rights and freedoms, rights of minors, law enforcement bodies, court, court of jury, field of law, types of crimes and criminal liability and etc.
The aim of seminars at schools is to raise awareness among pupils and prevent committing a crime. These activities are carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
