Protecting children’s rights is not only an obligation, it is our responsibility to build a system where every child feels safe, protected, and heard. With this goal in mind, the Legal Aid Service, with the support of the European Union and the assistance of UNICEF, has opened a child-friendly room within the framework of the project “Enhancing Access to Justice for Children in Georgia.”
This newly established space represents an important step towards strengthening a child-centred justice system. In a specially designed, welcoming environment, children will be able to receive legal consultation and assistance tailored to their needs, ensuring that the process is not intimidating and does not cause additional stress or fear.
We strongly believe that legal aid should not be merely a formal service, but one that is accessible, understandable, and adapted to children. Creating such spaces is a meaningful step forward in safeguarding the best interests of every child and ensuring that justice is truly inclusive.
