David Simonia, Director of the Legal Aid Service (LAS), visited the Netherlands on September 16.
During his visit, he participated in discussions with the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations, and the Legal Aid Board.
A meeting was also held with Wilbert Tomesen, the Chairman of the Whistleblowing Agency.
Davit Solomonia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, also attended the meeting.
The discussions focused on the operations of the Legal Aid Service and the current practices of whistleblower protection in the Netherlands. It is noteworthy that the innovative changes recently implemented by Georgia's Legal Aid Service attracted the interest of the Dutch participants.
Both parties agreed to collaborate on exchanging and implementing best practices.
