LAS public lawyers attend 3-day training on “Placement of a person in a medical institution with the aim of involuntary psychiatric treatment”. The purpose of the training is to raise awareness of the public lawyers on the above-mentioned issue, introduction with the court practice, sharing of the experience of psychiatrists. The Public Defender also recommended carrying out the training on that topic.
The trainers of training are the judge Tamar Khazhomia, the expert-psychiatrists Nana Zavdarashvili and Manana Eliashvili.
The training is organized as a part of the cooperation between USAID project PROLoG and LEPL Legal Aid Service.
